Hello fam!

This month is an easy one. NO COOKING INVOLVED! We are simply gathering back to school supplies as well as dry goods to be distributed to Atlanta area students.

I’ll be available for pickups and drop offs, both at home in Marietta and at the Brookhaven office, on Friday 8/11 thru Sunday 8/13. Everything needs to be dropped off by noon on that Sunday.

We need school supplies for kids 4-18. That means crayons, pencils, erasers, notebooks and those cute little scissors with the colored rubber handles. In addition, we need new or gently used backpacks to put the supplies in. We hope to deliver at least 50 backpacks though 100 would make my heart soar and my back sore. (quality homophone joke!)

As an added incentive, I’m not going to bore you with a story about school supplies from my childhood. HOWEVER, I did really love those pens that had four different colors of ink. Those were, and still are, amazing!

Honestly, you guys have been so incredible in 2023. I know it’s been a tough year for many but you have come through month after month to help your neighbors. After all, Amy and I wouldn’t be friends with you if you weren’t amazing humans in the first place!

Please let me know if you can help. When you go to Target or Walmart, maybe grab a few extra things. If you’re ordering on Amazon, click on a couple additional items. If you need to, you can order and ship them directly to me or to the office. And finally, even a small donation through venmo can make a huge difference. (@manyhandsproject)

Thank you as always for your kindness, generosity and support. Amy and I started this journey last fall but it’s been you guys that have kept it going.
