Who are we?

The Many Hands Project (MHP) is a grass roots organization that recruits, encourages, and deploys volunteers in an effort to fight food insecurity in our local communities. This effort takes many forms from providing homemade meals to gathering groceries and kitchen supplies to making direct financial donations. In addition, our highly motivated team of volunteers make contact with corporate and individual donors as wells as others who want to be a part of something greater than themselves.

We believe there is tremendous value in volunteerism. It is not charity. To be a volunteer is to give of yourself: your time, your energy and your love. And the rewards far exceed those of simply writing a check. It is the joy you feel after a day of cooking for someone else or the smile on your face when you drop off food at a local donation site. These moments are transformative.  They fundamentally alter who you are and how you see yourself. At Many Hands we like to say that we “feed their bellies and our souls”.

August 2023- Back to School

Saturday August 12th

In August, we showed that we are more than just foodies. We filled 60 children’s backpacks with everything they’ll need to succeed in the classroom. But we couldn’t help ourselves so we made 100 sandwiches.

August 2023-  Sandwiches Part Deux

Saturday August 26th

One of our incredible partners, Hodge Podge Kitchen,  reached out and generously donated eight loaves of delicious sour dough bread. Next thing you know we made another 85 sandwiches!

September 2023- Asian Cuisine

Saturday September 9th

This month we decided to celebrate Asian heritage with foods from China and India. We made Chicken Biryani, Lo Mein noodles with chicken and fried rice. It was delicious!

Our Clients

Many Hands provides meals through our partnership with Feeding GA Families. Our clients are Atlanta’s food insecure from all walks of life-  single moms, the elderly, people with disabilities, the homeless and those living below the poverty line. In short, if you need a meal, we are there to provide one.

You don't feed people because they deserve it. You feed them because they are hungry.

When someone cooks for you, they are saying something. They are telling you about themselves. Where they come from, who they are, what makes them happy.
